About The Position

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, currently has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Patent Agent/Patent Associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Austin, TX office. The Austin team has a dynamic and continually growing practice focused on a broad range of intellectual property matters. Job Requirements: This position will support the IP Practice working on the strategic development, procurement, and counseling of patent portfolios.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of focused experience in drafting patent applications in the computer arts (e.g., software, AI/ML/LLMs, FinTech, web applications, telecommunications, integrated circuits, etc.)
• 3 or more years of focused experience in prosecuting patent applications
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office
• Excellent academic credentials
• Comfortable working directly with clients
• Possess strong writing and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• Degree or an advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering and/or computer science
• Degrees in mechanical engineering or other relevant experience
• Strong experience drafting complex software patent applications
