About The Position

The schedule is estimated at 20 hours per week, but it is based on consults/admissions and can fluctuate week to week. The role involves assessing inpatient pediatric diabetes admissions and implementing a plan of care. The hourly pay is $70-$80/hr, with additional compensation in the form of CEUs. Requirements

• RD Credential
• Diabetes Specialist Certification (CDCES)
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Specialty certification when required
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
• Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.
