Requirements

At least one year of experience, preferably in production baking.
One year of experience in baking and pastry.
Familiarity with the process and understanding of working with a large quantity of food.
Good knife skills.
Bread baking skills.
Excellent knowledge of baking methods, measurement knowledge and equipment knowledge.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to effectively communicate as a member of the Canyon Ranch Culinary Team.
Cheerful, positive attitude when working with a variety of people.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Flexibility in working hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Neat and clean appearance.

Responsibilities

Preparing baked goods for the Canyon Ranch menu according to Canyon Ranch guidelines.
Preparing desserts and baked goods for the service period worked.
Being clean, in uniform, responsible, flexible, and professional at all times.
Storing and handling food properly, following Health Department requirements.
Preparing and arranging desserts and baked goods according to Canyon Ranch’s recipes, nutrition philosophy and quality of presentation.
Preparing and setting up assigned work stations as directed.
Reporting and documenting any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices/procedures to management immediately.
