Craft Tampa is redefining waterfront dining with its elegant 121-foot European-inspired dining vessel, offering an elevated brunch and dinner experience while cruising through downtown Tampa. Docked adjacent to Sparkman Wharf, Craft features an open-concept kitchen, handcrafted cocktails, and chef-driven cuisine. As the first dining vessel in the United States with an open kitchen concept and the only one cooking with gas equipment, Craft delivers an unforgettable culinary experience. The company is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef who takes pride in creating exceptional desserts and baked goods, enjoys working in a fast-paced culinary environment, has a creative eye, and wants to be part of a team that delivers memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of pastry, baking, or related culinary experience.
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
  • Creativity and passion for developing new ideas and menu items.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes consistently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Measure, mix, shape, and bake products with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Decorate pastries using a variety of techniques including piping, glazing, icing, and garnishing.
  • Monitor baking processes to ensure product quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal offerings and specialty desserts.
  • Assist in menu development and stay current on industry trends and techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Properly store and rotate ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering needs.
  • Support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for every guest.
