About The Position

The Paste Production Specialist is primarily responsible for Mixing and Blending Paste batches based on orders. This individual will collaborate with supervisors and team members to create production plans, workflow requirements, and pre-operation activities for proper equipment startup. Document and track product and requirements as needed. Resolve production, quality, and safety issues. Train team members on systems and devices, assess production needs, resolve errors on the line, and improve production rate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Software; Order Processing Systems; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); and Presentation Software (PowerPoint).
  • See/Hear/Speak.
  • Standing / Walking 85%, stooping/bending 15%.
  • Reach at times above shoulder/ below knee level
  • Lift/ Carry up to 60 lb.
  • Good hand grasping and fingering skills.
  • Must have strong eye/hand coordination.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Effectively communicate in a professional manner with all levels of management, staff and other department personnel.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and results oriented.

  • Monitor employees and work area for unsafe actions or conditions and set the example

  • Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, cleaned, and all systems are functioning correctly
  • Timely completion of all Quality / Production records
  • Ensure that team members follow SQF / GMP Quality & Production procedures.
  • Create a healthy and motivating work environment
  • Daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching
  • Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflict
  • Coach team members on achieving goals, developing necessary skills, and provide feedback.
  • Promote high standards through personal example and ensure team understands the behaviors and actions expected of them
  • Provide Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery.
  • Work effectively with other departments that support the manufacturing process
