About The Position

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in meal preparation and food service roles.
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer expectations.
  • Experience as a dietary aide is a plus, particularly in understanding dietary restrictions and menu planning.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
  • Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs as required.
