The Body Controls Calibration & System Test Team is looking for a Passive Safety and Occupant Protection System Calibration and Test Engineer to join our organization! Our area is rapidly growing and is being transformed due to the adoption of software-defined architecture. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in future technologies GM is introducing in Body electronics/Mechatronics space. The Passive Safety and Occupant Protection System Calibration and Test Engineer will: Lead Passive Safety and Occupant Protection feature, system and solution testing (manual and automated) on virtual, bench and vehicle test environments. Work cross-functionally with system safety, system engineering, design release, suppliers etc. to develop robust test methodologies for safety critical features. Lead test automation development and execution Collect data using advanced test equipment. Analyze, review results and document failures via PRTS, Jira etc. Author validation reports (CG190 etc.) Participate in Agile ceremonies (PI planning, DSU etc.) Deliver configuration calibrations to support different vehicle platforms. Additional Responsibilities: Support regulatory and compliance relevant initiatives for Passive Safety and Occupant Protection features. Lead system test issue resolution initiatives Lead best practices and process improvement initiatives. Support program team reviews and demos. Maintain communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
