Requirements

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED, or a comparable blend of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience from electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive, or electrical service industries.
  • Proven electro-mechanical assembly capability.
  • Basic English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and parts lists is helpful.
  • Frequent walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Comfort performing work overhead.
  • Occasional lifting/moving up to 40 lbs.
  • Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate assemblies within passenger coaches: roofs, cable harnesses, mounted components, electrical racks and panels, as well as air supply racks and piping.
  • Perform precision wiring: connect component leads to other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points; measure and cut wire; route, twist, wrap, tie, and attach to terminal points.
  • Handle rework cycles: disassemble, modify, refurbish, and reassemble to spec.
  • Turn drawings into deliverables using production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce electrical/electro-mechanical subassemblies.
  • Apply excellent fine-motor dexterity with small parts.
