About The Position

BGE, Inc. is a nationwide civil engineering consulting firm offering diverse career opportunities in a wide range of disciplines for public and private infrastructure projects. This position will be slated to work out of our Houston, TX or The Woodlands, TX office. Projects include land development, site development, and public works.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
2 + years of land survey experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, and others
Willingness and ability to be based in an office and do occasional field work

Nice To Haves

Specialized vocational training is a plus
Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (TBC) is a plus
Knowledge of MicroStation (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus

Responsibilities

Draft survey projects in AutoCAD Civil3D or Bentley MicroStation
Create digital terrain models from field survey data
Review and check work for quality control
Conduct deed research
Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor
Identify possible problems, and conflicts, and bring them to the supervisor’s attention
Primarily office-based with occasional field work
