About The Position

Richardson Electronics, Ltd. is seeking a full-time Parts Washer to clean and degrease a variety of components. This role involves inspecting work for cleanliness and damage, preparing and disposing of hazardous solutions according to RCRA guidelines, and performing minor equipment repairs and maintenance. The Parts Washer will receive direction from the Chemical Operations Manager and/or the Mechanical Components Manager. The company operates under lean manufacturing principles, emphasizing efficiency and continuous improvement, and employees may be asked to flex between different areas or responsibilities based on production needs.

Requirements

Basic math and reading skills.
Ability to understand and implement safe chemical handling practices.
Safety and following directions exactly are extremely important.
Extended periods of standing.
Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
Must be authorized to work in the US.

Cleans or treats components in accordance with verbal or written instructions.
Keeps written documentation of various operations as required by the supervisor.
Inspects work by appearance, requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
Follows compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Maintains good housekeeping practices and follows 5S.
Makes necessary adjustments to equipment to ensure quality products.
Cleans tank & changes solution as directed by supervisor.
Mixes chemicals according to written documentation as directed.
Works in a fast-paced environment.
Is a good team player.
Willing to work overtime when needed, and flexible with shift changes.
Performs other workload assigned, as per Supervisor’s instruction.
During idle times, fill in for other departments as needed like plating or parts department.
