About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising the Parts Warehouse employees. The role involves overseeing scheduling, managing warehouse organization and employee work duties, and handling inventory control and other administrative tasks. The supervisor will also review and manage parts performance reports (Cores, warranty, backorders), operate forklifts or pickup trucks occasionally, and assist with hose assembly when needed. Additionally, the role includes reviewing and overseeing warehousing logistics and filling in during emergencies in the parts warehouse area. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Previous forklift and pallet jack experience needed
  • Valid driver’s license is needed with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate)
  • Ability to lift 75lbs safely, climb ladders and stairs daily
  • Computer literate, PC experience with MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and knowledge of DBSI preferred
  • Ability to train hydraulic hose assemblies as needed
  • Knowledge of Parts Department functions with 3-4 years of parts experience or equivalent
  • Product knowledge and familiarity with Caterpillar products, diesel/gas engines, electric power generation equipment, construction equipment, on-highway trucks, and/or other industrial products required
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary
  • Customer service experience needed
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs

Nice To Haves

  • Previous parts team leadership and/or supervisory experience is preferred
  • College or technical degree preferred
