About The Position

BMW of Gwinnett Place, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is looking for a Parts Warehouse Representative to join their team and deliver extraordinary customer experiences. The Parts Warehouse Representative is responsible for accurately checking in and stocking shelves with received parts. This role requires receiving stock and filling parts orders with a high degree of accuracy, speed, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent and one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to use empathy, technical expertise and understanding of company policies to satisfy customer requests.
  • Ability to understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect parts department including but not limited to hazardous waste disposal, emergency response, safe driving and OSHA Right-to-Know.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Brand knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Dealership experience.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year's experience working in the service drive or at an auto parts retailer or wholesaler.
  • ASE Certification preferred but not required.
  • i-Car Certification preferred but not required.
  • Specific manufacturer's certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately check in and stock shelves with received parts.
  • Receive stock and fill parts orders with a high degree of accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
  • Work with service drive employees to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Understand and comply with all regulations that affect the Parts department, and perform tasks accurately, fairly and in accordance with local, state and federal statutes, as well as company policies.
  • Ensure use of proper safety equipment.
  • Process data and organize it for management analysis.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions.
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale of department, dealership and organization.
