SMS Equipment is looking for a Parts Technician to join our highly skilled Anchorage, AK team.

Requirements

Previous parts experience, preferably with heavy equipment or automotive parts.
A safety-first mindset, with excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
A customer-focused approach and effective communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized inventory systems.
Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with sound judgement and a commitment to responsive customer service.
Ability to take initiative, collaborate effectively, and stay organized while balancing multiple orders and inventory priorities.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate parts, pricing, and availability information to internal and external customers.
Source alternative parts when OEM parts are unavailable and follow up on back orders.
Manage parts inventory, including dispensing, receiving, inspecting, sorting, cataloguing, and handling stock.
Handle invoicing, work orders, shipping/receiving, and documentation.
Coordinate shipping instructions and support warehouse activities.
Process CORE returns and assist with inventory counts.
Support other day-to-day parts operations as needed.
