About The Position

Working as a Parts Technician in the trucking industry is a rewarding career for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers keep their equipment moving. In this role, you will work closely with trucking companies, technicians, and owner-operators to identify the right parts solutions and support the day-to-day operations of a busy commercial dealership. This role offers total compensation of up to $80,000 (base + bonus) annually, including monthly performance bonuses. Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum two years of parts experience within the heavy equipment, trucking, or commercial vehicle industry
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable multitasking while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and customer service excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Parts Technician certification
  • Experience with Procede or similar dealership business systems
  • Familiarity with CAT, Cummins, Paragon, or other parts lookup platforms
  • Previous experience supporting technicians, service departments, or commercial fleet customers

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill parts orders using in-stock inventory
  • Source and process orders through PDCs, vendors, dealerships, and suppliers
  • Communicate ETA updates and arrival notifications to technicians and customers
  • Learn and effectively use dealership systems including Procede, CAT, Cummins, Paragon, and other online platforms required to support customers and operations
  • Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and professionally
  • Provide timely and efficient service to both internal and external customers
  • Build strong working relationships with technicians, drivers, service advisors, and other departments
  • Support a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Replenish inventory and maintain clean, organized display areas
  • Ensure pricing and merchandising are accurate and customer-ready
  • Participate in training sessions and department meetings
  • Process debit and credit transactions, product returns, refunds, and core credits
