About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, an authorized Caterpillar dealer, is seeking a Parts Supervisor in Richmond, Virginia. This role is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Parts Department in accordance with Carter Machinery's policies. The company is looking for candidates with prior parts management experience in the heavy construction equipment industry. Previous supervisory experience and a college degree are preferred.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of equipment parts and components
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to evaluate facts and maintain good judgment when making decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Excellent driving record
• Frequent travel may be required – overnight or out town via car or airplane
• Previous parts management experience in heavy construction equipment industry
