About The Position

The Parts Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the parts store functions (shipping, receiving, delivery, inventory management and order filling) in an efficient and safe manner. This includes the coordination of day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including providing leadership, motivation, and training of parts representatives, direct delegation and supervision of assignments as well as ensuring a uniform and efficient workflow. This position is also responsible for administration and evaluation of profitable short and long term objectives of parts store operations. Creates a culture that delivers customer excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and/or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, convey, and receive information in written, verbal, and diagram form.
  • Ability to remain calm during emotional or escalated circumstances with customers or other employees
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong time-management skills for self and others.
  • Ability to present information in group settings to train or inform employees or customers.
  • Willingness to relocate to any of our locations within the Oklahoma or Texas territory. (The WEC Moving and Relocation Guidelines will apply if a relocation assignment is required).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the operational leader for Parts Operations at the assigned location with responsibility for financial performance, inventory management, customer support, operational execution, and achievement of departmental goals and company objectives.
  • Lead daily Parts Operations activities with balanced focus on financial performance and operational effectiveness, including revenue growth, gross margin performance, inventory control, expense management, customer satisfaction, and overall departmental profitability.
  • Establish, monitor, and drive accountability for key operational and financial KPIs, including: Revenue growth and sales performance, Gross profit and margin performance, Inventory turns and fill rates, Inventory accuracy and obsolescence reduction, Expense control and operational efficiency, Customer satisfaction and service responsiveness, Employee productivity and workflow performance.
  • Analyze financial statements, operational reports, inventory data, and business analytics to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities while implementing corrective actions and operational strategies to improve business performance.
  • Lead inventory management and supply chain activities including inventory integrity, stocking levels, demand forecasting, pricing execution, and customer support responsiveness while balancing service expectations and working capital objectives.
  • Support sales, pricing, and operational initiatives for CAT and Allied Parts, exchange engine programs, and related aftermarket support services to maximize profitability, customer value, and equipment uptime.
  • Drive operational consistency, process improvement, and workflow efficiency while identifying opportunities to improve technology utilization, inventory performance, and overall departmental effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, Caterpillar personnel, suppliers, and internal departments to support operational alignment, customer retention, and long-term business success.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Parts Operations personnel by establishing clear expectations, driving accountability, supporting employee development, and fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with service operations, sales operations, finance, and branch leadership to support overall business objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ensure Parts Operations activities remain aligned with company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and WCAT operational policies while maintaining a professional, organized, and safe work environment consistent with 6S principles.
  • Support additional operational priorities, leadership responsibilities, and strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Directly supervise multiple employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
