About The Position

The Parts Stocker/Picker is responsible for various functions within the parts department, including stocking received parts, picking parts for outside shops, restocking fast-moving items, managing warranty parts, assisting counter personnel with parts returns, supporting the receiving clerk, and maintaining general cleanliness of the parts department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• One year of experience in an automotive parts department.
• One year of sales experience.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Able to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.
• Required to wear a dealership-provided uniform.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Stock all parts in proper locations.
• Operate a pallet jack or hand truck to move or hoist parts from shipping/receiving and out to service areas in a safe manner.
• Re-stock customer returns to their designated locations.
• Pick customer orders accurately and organize the parts in the shipping bins.
• Restock shelves of fast-moving parts.
• Assist receiving clerk when needed.
• Put warranty parts in proper area.
• Empty waste cans, sweep, clean, and cut down cardboard for disposal.
• Any other tasks deemed necessary by management.
