Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to handling and storing parts and equipment.
• Working knowledge of parts, machinery, and a basic understanding of inventory management principles.
• Ability to operate a counterbalance forklift and order picker - prior experience preferred
• Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer applications.
• Ability to work in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to write and speak effectively.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Driver's License and ability to be covered by company auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Sell parts to customers at the front counter using John Deere-specific software.
• Safely and securely transport parts, small equipment, and related supplies to customers and our locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
• Travel to other locations for training and deliveries or operational support, including transporting parts as needed.
• Receive and put in place inventory, store parts, equipment, and materials in the warehouse.
• Provide excellent customer service according to the company’s Customer Expectations Policy.
• Monitor and follow up on parts shortages and expedite orders as required by the Parts Supervisor.
• Maintain detailed records of all parts transactions, including receipts, issuances, and returns.
• Operate in the warehouse and assist in shipping and receiving.
• Maintain an accurate inventory and cycle counts of all parts at the location.
• Maintain records of pickup, deliveries, and obtain necessary signatures and receipts.
• Assist in maintaining all departmental tools and equipment.
• Utilize the surplus return program in line with the owner-group policy.
• Verify the accuracy of orders, including part numbers, quantities, and specifications.
• Coordinate the perpetual or annual physical inventory of all parts and related inventories.
• Participation in the on-call program.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including the delivery vehicle, and showroom.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Promote and sell products and services to customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
