Requirements
- Previous experience in truck, heavy equipment, automotive, or refuse vehicle parts preferred.
- Ability to read schematics, exploded diagrams, and service manuals.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, order entry platforms, and shipping software such as UPS WorldShip or freight systems.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving service environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with refuse equipment manufacturers such as Heil, McNeilus, New Way, EZ Pack, or similar brands is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, PTO systems, and refuse truck components is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Identify and source refuse truck and body parts using manufacturer catalogs, technical diagrams, and internal systems.
- Support technicians, service staff, and customers with expert guidance on parts selection, availability, pricing, and lead times.
- Process parts orders accurately and efficiently to ensure timely pickup, shipping, and delivery.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors regarding back orders, substitutions, warranty claims, and updated part numbers.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, receiving, and warehouse organization.
- Stage parts for scheduled service work to help keep shop operations running smoothly.
- Receive and inspect incoming vendor shipments.
- Process and return warranty parts in a timely manner.
- Assist walk-in customers and respond professionally to phone and email inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts room and warehouse environment.
