About The Position

Tri-Lift Industries, Inc., a third-generation family business, is hiring a Parts Specialist to generate sales and customer satisfaction through product knowledge and prompt, courteous service. The role provides information and advice about material handling equipment and reports directly to the on-site Parts Manager. Tri-Lift represents CLARK, BYD, and Liugong forklifts, as well as aerial equipment and solutions, across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Compensation is based on experience.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of industrial parts sales experience.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Able to move or lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders by telephone, mail, and in person from walk-in customers.
• Call customers to solicit orders and verify marketing information.
• Process quotes for internal and external customers.
• Promote aggressive and suggestive selling through product knowledge, personal selling skills, over-the-counter contact, telemarketing, and direct mail.
• Seek additional parts sales opportunities.
• Complete customer call-back requests to the customer's satisfaction.
• Assist technicians and customers at the rear counter with parts needs.
• Process customer orders the same day they are received and accurately complete all required transaction documents.
• Prepare sales orders, specifying terms of sale and delivery.
• Handle customer credits accurately and in accordance with company policy, including all pertinent information.
• Prepare shipping documentation.
• Record lost sales opportunities.
• Check in all orders received on the same day.
