Requirements

  • High-level of computer proficiency with ability to utilize CDK operating system.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand role on a consistent basis.
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to turn negative situations into positive experiences and opportunities.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills for both internal co-workers and external customers and suppliers.
  • Available on short notice to work overtime as customer demand or Vermeer Heartland operations dictate.
  • 2+ years of technical education and/or related studies, or equivalent of combined experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a parts specialist, inside/outside part sales or equivalent in a dealership environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and able to meet Heartland insurance providers qualifications.
  • Ability to sit, stand, lift and lower repeatedly and for extended periods in both internal and external environments.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience with Vermeer industrial equipment or equivalent commercial, agricultural or material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish language (oral and written) is a benefit, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize available resources to effectively meet customer needs and enhance the customer experience.
  • Establish Vermeer Heartland as a trusted partner by conveying a professional and knowledgeable presence to both customers and internal team members.
  • Utilize the inventory management system to maintain parts inventory, including creating and receiving Purchase Orders.
  • Manage customer accounts, including sales order, shipping and return information.
  • Organize parts inventory by arranged bin location system and maintain the showroom area in accordance with the Vermeer Heartland brand standards.
  • Utilize system tools and resources to proactively meet customer needs through suggestive selling.
  • Make routinely scheduled outgoing calls to assigned customer accounts to strengthen relationships, introduce new offerings, offer expert support and fulfill any product needs.
  • Commit to continuous learning through online and instructor-led training programs.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations, adhering to all policies and procedures.
