About The Position

We are Wolverine Power Systems, a leader in industrial power solution sales, service, and rentals. We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals. The Parts Specialist performs driving, material handling, and inventory coordinating duties to ensure that all materials received, issued, and shipped out of the organization are completed at maximum productivity and efficiency. This position performs inventory control, order staging, and material requisitioning and ensures proper storage and maintenance of all direct and indirect materials. The Parts Specialist also ensures that materials are placed in their proper locations and are available for issue when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Two years of related experience in delivering parts and equipment.
  • Two years warehouse/stockroom environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office products and data/web-based systems.
  • Ability to drive a box truck.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Operator Certification/PIT License or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Medical Certification Card (DOT); or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • The employee must be able to work in varying weather conditions including extreme heat, snow, and ice.
  • The employee may be required to obtain a DOT Medical Card and have the ability to drive a heavy-duty truck on a daily basis.
  • Up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming material & equipment (with forklift as needed) and verify packing slips and goods received against purchase orders.
  • Pick up and deliver parts for customers and vendors as needed.
  • Store materials in system-designated locations or areas for maximum inventory control and accountability.
  • Organize and continually consolidate inventory to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain rack/shelf accessibility at all times.
  • Perform cycle count and activities as scheduled, reconciling all discrepancies.
  • Perform daily computer transactions for all material movements in and out of the stockroom.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work environment including facility, yard and shop.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, including forklift, pallet, and other material handling equipment as specified.
  • Shuttle fleet vehicles to the local vehicle maintenance shop as needed.
  • Help warehouse team with facility projects, pressure wash equipment as needed, daily trash and recycling removal from warehouse.
  • Travel in company vehicles to remote warehouse storage sites (during normal work hours) to perform monthly cycle counts and organize stockrooms as needed.
  • Participate in problem-solving and other work improvement efforts.
  • Pick up inventory against kit list requirements from service delivery schedules as needed.
  • Make emergency deliveries in company vehicles during and after hours if needed.
