About The Position

The Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments of automotive parts, accessories, and supplies. This role ensures accurate inventory management, timely processing of deliveries, and proper documentation while supporting overall dealership operations and customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Previous shipping/receiving, warehouse, or dealership experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts and inventory processes is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy items safely (up to 50 lbs or more)
  • Professional communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using dealership or inventory software
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
  • Unload deliveries and properly store parts and materials in designated areas
  • Process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries with vendors, carriers, and internal departments
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments using dealership systems
  • Assist parts and service staff by locating and delivering parts as needed
  • Manage and track special orders and returns, including core returns and damaged goods
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stocking, binning, and organization
  • Perform routine inventory counts and assist with audits
  • Keep the shipping/receiving and storage areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures at all times
