About The Position
Mossy Automotive is looking for an experienced Parts Shipping & Receiving Clerk to help support our Service & Body Shop department and to provide our customers with exceptional experiences. The ideal candidate will flourish in a fast-paced and professional workplace. The Parts & Shipping Clerk selects part & accessories from stock shelves according to repair and client orders, takes inventory and restocks shelves with incoming or return merchandise. Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Ability to use parts department computer system
- Good communication skills
- Good comprehension of parts manuals
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Experience in retail or wholesale parts department
- Ability to climb flights of stairs
Responsibilities
- Accurately read catalogs, microfiche viewer, or computer for parts stock number and price
- Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments, verify information against invoices, orders and other records
- Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
- Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled
- Maintain receiving and shipping records, delivery truck maintenance records and returned parts records
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
- Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Mark & stock parts according to pre-arranged system
