About The Position

The basic function of Parts Counter person is the sale of vehicle parts to wholesale and retail customers, while expediting the parts requirements of the Service department. This role involves providing efficient delivery, receipt of payment, and pick-up of assigned parts in a courteous, prompt, and safe manner, while maintaining clear and accurate records. The position also focuses on promoting and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Requirements

1 year prior experience in Parts stocking.
Good working knowledge of vehicle parts.
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
Performance of extensive numerical calculations to a written record with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to identify, comprehend and act on changing customer requirements.
Ability to retrieve, load and deliver items of various sizes and weights (up to 125 lbs.) in operable and undamaged condition.
Computer skills; familiarity with CDK Parts Inventory Computer system.
Possess good customer relations abilities, polite and courteous manner, cooperative attitude, team oriented.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate and understand English and Spanish a plus.
Maintain a valid driver’s license, ability to drive a variety of vehicle types, insurable.

Responsibilities

Receive and stock parts orders.
Pull and ship parts orders.
Maintain the physical inventory.
