About The Position

This role is responsible for processing the shipping and receiving of parts through the Parts Department. The primary focus is on managing inventory, ensuring accuracy in shipments, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and effective communication skills. The job involves physical activity, including lifting and moving parts, and may require operating a forklift. The employee is expected to maintain company standards for customer satisfaction and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Previous warehouse experience desired
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic computer skills needed to utilize the company timekeeping system
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to talk or hear
  • Ability to stand; walk; and sit
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent movement around the dealership facilities and the outdoor car lot and movement in and out of cars
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations

Responsibilities

  • Controls receipt of inventory
  • Receives incoming shipments, checking the packing slip with actual shipment for completeness and accuracy before placement in appropriate warehouse location
  • Identifies and reports all overages and shortages
  • Stocks parts and accessories in correct bin locations
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of receipt of all special orders
  • Performs inventory test counts as directed by management
  • Loads and unloads trucks
  • May operate a forklift to move materials and unload vehicles
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards
  • Participates in required training
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

  • Pay Scale consisting of Base Hourly Compensation of $20.00 - $22.00
