Parts Shipper & Receiver - BMW of Tigard
About The Position
BMW of Tigard has an outstanding opportunity for a Parts Shipper and Receiver to join their team! This role involves scanning and sorting incoming freight, dispersing it to the appropriate departments or associates, and receiving and delivering FedEx packages. The position also includes putting away stock order parts, assigning bin locations, shelving new parts, and performing cycle counts as needed. Daily tasks include maintaining a clean shipping area and warehouse by sweeping, emptying trash, and breaking down cardboard. The role also requires delivering parts to the body shop and used car reconditioning center, picking up parts and equipment from local vendors, and washing the delivery van and cleaning its interior weekly. Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures is mandatory, with immediate reporting of all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Requirements
- Professional personal appearance.
- Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.
- Will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
- All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Scan and sort incoming freight, disperse to appropriate departments/associates.
- Receive FedEx packages and deliver to departments as specified.
- Put away stock order parts in bins in numerical sequence.
- Assign bin locations and shelve new parts in parts bins.
- Cycle counting as needed.
- Sweep, empty trash, break down cardboard, clean shipping area and warehouse daily as needed.
- Deliver parts to body shop and used car reconditioning center.
- Pick up parts and equipment from local vendors.
- Wash delivery van and clean interior weekly.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
