About The Position

This role involves handling parts order requests from various channels, including telephone, email, and in-person interactions. The Parts Sales Representative will be responsible for locating parts using manufacturer and vendor catalogs, advising customers on related items, and managing backorders by providing status updates. Additionally, the position requires adherence to inventory control practices, communication with the Parts Manager regarding inventory issues, and collaboration with the Service Department on parts availability and pricing. The goal is to provide solutions for customer needs and assist with other projects as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of heavy truck/auto parts or shop experience
• Customer service skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Handle parts order requests via telephone, e-mail, or in-person
• Utilize manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts for customers, internal and external
• Advise customers on related parts
• Follow up on backordered parts, and contact customer with status
• Ensure that inventory control practices are followed
• Communicate with Parts Manager on inventory issues
• Communicate with Service Department regarding parts availability and pricing
• Provide solutions for the needs of our customers
• Assist with other projects as needed
