About The Position

Pape' Kenworth is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Parts Sales Counterperson I to serve as the go-to parts expert for customers maintaining and repairing class 7 & 8 diesel trucks. This role involves actively engaging with customers both face-to-face at the counter and over the phone to identify their needs and provide recommendations. The successful candidate will utilize product literature, specialized software systems, and their growing knowledge of parts and diesel trucks to offer timely and accurate solutions. The position emphasizes building trust and lasting relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and finding the best solutions. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm.

Requirements

  • Verifiable parts counter experience or applicable mechanical/service experience
  • Basic knowledge of parts inventory
  • Self-motivation and assertive drive
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person to sell company parts and other services
  • Above-average organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Be the go-to parts expert for customers looking to maintain and repair their class 7 & 8 diesel trucks
  • Actively engage with customers to identify their needs and provide recommendations
  • Use product literature, specialized software systems, and growing knowledge of parts and diesel trucks to offer timely and accurate solutions
  • Translate technical details into actionable parts support to create lasting relationships with clients
  • Communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person to sell company parts and other services
