About The Position

The Parts Room Supervisor is responsible for purchasing maintenance parts and other building supplies for the plant. This role involves oversight of cycle counting inventory control, ensuring inventory accuracy for the parts area, and working closely with corporate purchasing on vendor development and cost reduction methods. The supervisor will also create new part numbers, develop and maintain vendor relationships, and manage invoices and late delivery reports. Additionally, the role requires validating vendor credentials, supervising, training, coaching, and mentoring personnel within the Parts and Receiving department, and performing other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and / or college courses, or combination of education and experience is preferred.
Knowledge of parts and tools used in a plant preferred; prior supervisor or lead experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
SAP experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.
Must reside in the United States to be considered.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date).
No written warning in the past six (6) months.
No suspension on record for the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

Oversight of cycle counting inventory control as well as inventory accuracy for the parts area.
Ensure all Purchase Orders have proper approvals.
Works closely with corporate purchasing on the development of new vendors and methods for cost reductions and performs other responsibilities as needed.
Create new part numbers.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
Create and maintain all invoices and late delivery reports.
Validate all vendor credentials are current.
Supervise, train, coach and mentor personnel within the Parts and Receiving department.
Performing other responsibilities as the need arises
