About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining inventory in an inventory tracking system, keeping the parts room clean and orderly, receiving all maintenance parts, signing vendor tickets, and stocking inventory in the parts room. Other duties include knowledge of parts/tools used in the plant, prioritizing daily work with minimum supervision, and other duties as assigned. This role involves updating databases or records with new information, organizing files, and collecting data to be entered into the computer database system (SAP). The attendant will transfer data from written records via computer to be compiled for standardized reports, verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation, and create and organize spreadsheets with appropriate information. They will also generate reports and store completed work in designated locations, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to type at least 45 wpm
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Mechanical aptitude to learn various equipment components and tools
  • Ability to meet essential job functions for this job classification
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and write
  • Strong attention to detail while following concise instructions
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • May not have four (4) or more attendance points on an eight (8) point policy on date of application
  • No written warnings in the past six (6) months
  • No recorded suspensions in the last twelve (12) months
