Parts Room Attendant - 1st Shift Liberty
About The Position
Shenandoah Valley Organic, producer of the FARMER FOCUS brand of organic meat products, has an opportunity for a Parts Room Attendant. In this position, the parts room attendant will perform various tasks to support operations by organizing parts, tools and maintain accountability and inventory of all tools within the Parts/Supply room. The parts room attendant will be responsible for ordering and reordering parts. The parts room attendant will be responsible for supplying parts to maintenance, operations, and authorized personnel. The parts room attendant will be responsible for maintaining parts organized and their area cleaned.
Requirements
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete preform job duties unsupervised and unassisted
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Constant standing.
- Occasional to frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching.
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of parts experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the reliability of the parts/supply room inventories for maintenance and operations
- Receive delivered parts and replenishes parts as needed, organize, and maintain the parts/supply room in clean and in order.
- Create work orders for parts
- Daily inventory of tools and equipment
- Ability and willingness to communicate with external suppliers and internal customers of all levels.
- Utilize and maintain Canopy System or any other related inventory databases.
- Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work, as needed, or required.
- Keep accurate records of parts inventory and incoming orders daily.
- Receive and issue parts in system daily.
- Issue tools and equipment to authorized personnel and maintain records of tools and equipment accountability
