Parts & Receiving Supervisor - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Parts & Receiving Supervisor leads the 2nd shift team responsible for parts, receiving, and warehousing operations in support of the transmission remanufacturing process. This role monitors and manages processes and procedures, employees, and inventory accuracy across both the Parts and Receiving functions – including receiving and put-away, exception management, dock management, inventory control, warranty returns, and the flow of material to the operations floor. You will suggest and implement improvements, coach and train employees, and ensure work is processed efficiently, serving as the on-site supervisor for both departments during 2nd shift and partnering closely with 1st shift leadership, operations, customer service, purchasing, and shipping.
Requirements
- Computer literate, strong communication and excellent math skills; able to work with Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to drive a forklift and become certified
- Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented; automotive/mechanical ability a plus; ability to bend, twist, pull & push
- Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
- Skill and ability of working with your hands, tools (must provide your own), and other instruments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day and under pressure at times
- Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication, and decision-making skills
- Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
- Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, and have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance – including availability for 2nd shift hour

Responsibilities
- Ensure production goals and quality standards are met daily across both Parts and Receiving; verify and perform quality checks
- Supervise the team and activities related to receiving, processing, put-away, and exception management, as well as picking and transferring parts to manufacturing locations for production use
- Manage and improve the stock position and inventory accuracy of all parts and warehouse inventory; assist in supervising all areas of both departments
- Learn the SyteLine system and the process for warranty returns to vendors; conduct productive team meetings
- Maintain and improve operational procedures for verifying incoming shipments, handling and disposition of product, loading internal transfers, and receiving operation efficiency and ergonomics
- Provide guidance and input regarding parts, warehousing, and receiving operations; assist the Parts Department Manager and Receiving Manager, and advise of all inventory problems
- Ensure proper 2nd shift staffing levels to meet service levels and productivity goals; make sure employees are productive and at their workstations on time
- Sustain the ability of coaching, counseling, and supporting others in a professional manner
- Take on and assign responsibilities to teammates; develop plans for improvement and execute them
- Be prepared for scheduled and impromptu meetings; be able to work as a team, including partnering with 1st shift leadership
- Assist others within the department, train new personnel, and work overtime when needed
- Follow directions from managers; be proactive and lead the department to success
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; be at your workstation on time daily, leading by example
