Job Description Issues and records on appropriate forms, all tools and supplies drawn from storeroom. Cleans, inspects and tags tools for repairs as needed. Receives, verifies, tags and stores incoming freight. Matches receiving documents to company purchase order paperwork. Maintains and reviews “on-order” file. Using the computer system, generate work orders, and perform inventory and equipment inquires necessary to support maintenance personnel. Conducts inventory checks as required. Investigate discrepancies between physical count and inventory record. Maintains storeroom in a neat and orderly fashion with special attention to correct locations of items. Writes requisitions for non-inventoried items. Actively engaged in safety, participate in safety programs, safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members. Must report all incidents, near misses, and any safety concerns.

Requirements

  • Must be forklift certified. If not, must meet requirements to become forklift certified.
  • Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend, write and communicate in English simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
