About The Position

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly. This position is for the Weekend Shift, Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, offering 36 hours of work paid for 40. The role is responsible for preparing parts for the production process and assisting the operator as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in masking or a related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

• Determine priority of jobs to begin preparing for processing
• Select appropriate racking procedure according to size, shape and number of objects to be processed
• Wire or clip objects to rack or hoist for processing
• Remove parts from rack or bar after processing
• Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines
• Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety guidelines are followed
• Maintain a clean working area at all times by disposing of any unnecessary trash or wires
• Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly
