About The Position

Perform work outdoors in the yard and warehouse; removing parts from vehicles for retail customers and core recycling. Expected schedule is 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 5 days per week, including one or both weekend days. Works primarily outdoors removing vehicle parts from salvage cars. Parts can include but not limited to quarter panels, doors, lids, hoods, axles, suspension pieces, engines, and transmissions Recording information on parts pulled accurately and in a timely manner. Speak directly with customers regarding parts pull requests, including in-person and phone conversations May operate a forklift or loader to assist in moving vehicles Dismantle tires Maintain a safe and clean work environment Ensure all EPA and OSHA regulations are being met Wear all required PPE Comply with established company policies and procedures. Initiate and supports the continual improvement of the companies quality improvement system Assume other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.
  • General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work.
  • Must be able to work in cooperation with others.
  • Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
  • Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.
  • No lifting restrictions.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb.
  • Must be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to withstand heights of more than 15 feet.

Responsibilities

  • Removing parts from vehicles for retail customers and core recycling.
  • Recording information on parts pulled accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Speaking directly with customers regarding parts pull requests, including in-person and phone conversations.
  • Operating a forklift or loader to assist in moving vehicles.
  • Dismantling tires.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Ensuring all EPA and OSHA regulations are being met.
  • Wearing all required PPE.
  • Complying with established company policies and procedures.
  • Initiating and supporting the continual improvement of the companies quality improvement system.
  • Assuming other duties as assigned.
