About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the parts room, including ordering, receiving, issuing, and maintaining inventory of parts and maintenance materials. The position requires administrative tasks related to inventory management and other assigned duties. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, knowledge of parts room operations, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. A valid driver's license and the ability to operate powered industrial equipment are also necessary. Successful candidates must pass pre-employment tests and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems. Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, along with a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Knowledge of the operations of a parts room
  • Be at least 20 years old
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
  • A valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
  • Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds
  • Successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position): Computation, Following Written Directions, and Visual Speed and Accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system
  • Ability to read, write and solve math problems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, and technical and parts manuals
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with little or no supervision
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work well with others and be a team member

Nice To Haves

  • Current Industrial Maintenance associate
  • Associate’s degree in Business
  • 3 years of prior experience in an industrial parts room environment or inventory related experience
  • Knowledge of the operation of a parts room in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistical data

Responsibilities

  • Ordering parts/maintenance materials in emergencies or as needed
  • Receiving items/parts into the parts room
  • Releasing/issuing items/parts and tools from the parts room
  • Maintaining the items/parts inventory in the parts room
  • Performing administrative tasks related to parts room inventory management
  • Other duties as assigned
