Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and vendors.
Proficiency in basic math; including fractions, percentages, etc.
Ability to identify cross reference material.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
English language fluency, verbal and written.
Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

Experience in parts supply.
Basic computer skills with Excel and Word experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicates with shop foreman and/or mechanics to order parts as required.
Reads shop manuals and parts catalogs to ascertain type and specification of part.
Contacts suppliers by phone, online, or in person to obtain parts and supplies as directed by supervisor.
Compares invoices against requisition to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received.
Codes invoices for cost accounting.
Stores purchased parts in storeroom bins and issues parts to workers as required.
Keeps records of parts received and issued, and inventories as directed.
Records repair time expended by mechanics.
