About The Position

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking an experienced and driven Parts Manager to lead their parts department and develop it into a top-performing profit center. The Parts Manager will be responsible for inventory, gross profit, and the customer experience for both the service department and wholesale/retail customers. This leadership role requires building a strong team, running a disciplined operation, and consistently growing gross profit.

Requirements

Automotive parts management experience required.
Proven track record of growing parts gross and controlling inventory and obsolescence.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, pricing matrices, and DMS parts systems.
Excellent leadership, organization, and team-development skills.
Strong vendor, wholesale, and customer relationship skills.
Clean driving record and background.

Responsibilities

Lead, hire, train, schedule, and develop a high-performing parts team (counter, warehouse, and wholesale).
Own parts inventory: maintain the right mix and depth, control aging and obsolescence, and hit days-supply and turn targets.
Drive parts gross profit through smart pricing matrices, fill rates, and minimal stock-outs.
Ensure the service department is adequately supplied so technicians are not waiting on parts.
Grow wholesale and retail parts business and build strong customer and vendor relationships.
Manage purchasing, stock orders, special orders, and returns to protect cash and gross profit.
Run regular cycle counts and an accurate annual physical inventory with minimal variance.
Monitor and act on key metrics: gross, turns, fill rate, obsolescence, and emergency purchases.
Set the standard for accuracy, urgency, and customer service across the department.
Partner with service and sales leaders to ensure smooth operation of fixed operations.
