About The Position

Checkered Flag Automotive Group is looking for a Parts Manager to join their team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for the automotive industry and a focus on serving customers. The Parts Manager will lead parts employees, provide department support, set goals for future improvements, and resolve customer complaints professionally. They will also stay informed on return and manufacturer policies, ensure a clean and safe working environment, train and manage employees, and enforce company timekeeping policies. The Parts Manager must demonstrate an understanding of policies and act as an example to others. Additionally, they will coordinate with the service manager to ensure timely parts ordering.

Requirements

Four or more years of experience in the parts industry
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time
Must have a valid driver's license with 3 or fewer moving violations in the last 3 years
Major violations in the last 3 years, such as DUI or Reckless Driving, will disqualify candidates.

Nice To Haves

Prior CDK or like software knowledge preferred, but not necessary
Detail oriented
Willing to learn and cross train for future growth opportunities

Responsibilities

Lead parts employees and provide department support where needed
Set goals and future improvements for the parts department
Resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner
Stay informed on return and manufacturer policies
Ensure that the team is maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Effectively train and manage employees
Ensure that all employees are attending their set work hours and are properly following company time keeping policy
Demonstrate an understanding of policies and act as an example to others in the department
Coordinate with the service manager to ensure that all parts are ordered in a timely manner
