About The Position

Finning Canada is seeking a Parts Journeyperson in Edmonton, AB. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and advice, identifying and sourcing parts, and inspecting and processing cores and parts returns. The position is based at our D17/D18 Facility on a 5x2 shift (Monday-Friday). Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements, in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement. Union membership is required, with dues deducted from pay.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson parts certification.
  • Previous parts, warehouse, front counter, sales experience.
  • Caterpillar product knowledge.
  • A high performance, positive attitude and the ability to build and maintain respectful working relationships.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations and potentially unhappy customers.
  • Clearly demonstrate enthusiasm about their work.
  • Must be able to function effectively and purposefully in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literacy with applicable software knowledge.
  • Shop parts experience.
  • Experience with SIS, AIMS, Antares, SIMSi, InfoCast, Lawson M3, Landmark Smart Office, M3 Sales Automation.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience in the following areas would be considered strong assets to a successful candidacy: mining, heavy construction and technology products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage parts procurement and allocation for the D17/D18 service teams, ensuring timely support for field operations.
  • Provide shop parts coverage and maintain inventory availability to support ongoing service activities.
  • Collaborate across departments and teams to ensure efficient parts distribution, communication, and workflow execution.
  • Backorder Management, Parts ticketing escalations with CAT, Used Parts Sourcing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and collaboration with all facets of client’s organization.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the customer to inquire on piece parts orders.
  • Coordinate with Field Technicians and Response Supervisors to identify, source, and order parts required for service and repair work orders.
