About The Position

The Parts Inventory Clerk is responsible for the efficient management of parts and inventory within a maintenance or technical setting. This role involves distributing parts, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the parts room, assisting with inventory counts, and supporting technicians in locating necessary parts. The clerk will also be responsible for kitting parts for preventative maintenance, updating inventory information in EAM, and notifying the Parts Coordinator about low stock levels. Additionally, the position requires adherence to food safety standards, including reporting and addressing potential issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma and one-year related experience working in a similar role and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possesses all basic and some advanced skills and knowledge. Has a thorough understanding of the total process flow.
• Must have basic knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Distribution of parts when they are issued
• Keeping parts room clean and organized
• Assisting in cycle counts
• Assisting technicians and others to find the parts they need
• Kitting parts in totes to be used in preventative maintenance (PMs)
• Updating parts with detailed information in EAM
• Notifying Parts Coordinator of parts that have fallen below the minimum level in order to replenish stock
• Responsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
