Parts Inspector
About The Position
This is a temporary Parts Inspector position with a temp-to-hire opportunity, focusing on Quality Assurance. The role involves ensuring high-precision cutting tools meet strict engineering and dimensional specifications. It requires an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to work with very small tolerances. The position is located in Davenport, IA, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, no weekends. There are three openings: two on the 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) and one on the 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). The pay rate is $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, paid weekly, with overtime potential. Performance and pay evaluations occur after 3 months. PTO is earned from day one and eligible for use on Day 60. Supplemental healthcare benefits are available.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Previous QA/inspection experience preferred.
- Mechanically inclined candidates are welcome to apply as training is available.

Responsibilities
- Use calipers, micrometers, gages, and rulers to verify dimensions against engineering prints.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products (e.g., drill bits) for microscopic defects or irregularities.
- Identify and reject non-conforming products; recommend items for rework or scrap.
- Log and track inspection data to provide feedback to production and engineering teams.
