About The Position
Alliance Dealer Solutions is hiring a Parts Driver for our automotive dealership partner. This role offers fantastic opportunities for advancement and promotion for customer service-minded individuals! As a Parts Driver, you play a key role in ensuring that parts are delivered promptly and accurately to customers, other departments within the dealership, and other dealership within the surrounding area. Your responsibilities include loading, transporting, and delivering parts while providing exceptional customer service. Attention to detail, reliability, and safe driving practices are essential for success in this role. When not making deliveries, you will be assisting in our Parts Wholesale Warehouse. This position will including driving a Sprinter truck/van, so experience driving Sprinters is a plus!
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
- 21 years or older.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
- Basic verbal communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Neat and professional appearance is required.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Experience driving Sprinters is a plus.
- Experience in a similar role can be advantageous but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and deliver parts to customers, service departments, and other locations as needed.
- Verify the accuracy of orders before delivery, ensuring that the correct parts and quantities are delivered.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and receipts.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle, including checking oil, fuel, and tire pressure, and report any issues to the supervisor. Must use company provided dash cam for all runs.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing and stocking parts when not making deliveries.
- Support the parts department with various tasks, including organizing the parts warehouse and assisting with parts orders.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the dealership.
