About The Position
The Parts Driver is responsible for delivering parts, often automotive or mechanical, to customers, shops, or job sites. This role also involves picking up parts from suppliers, verifying orders, maintaining delivery schedules, and collecting payments or signatures. The driver will also communicate with dispatchers and customers, and keep records of deliveries. Daily tasks include checking orders, planning routes, inspecting the vehicle, driving to multiple stops, and handling paperwork.
Requirements
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license
- Time management and reliability
- Basic organization skills
- Customer service skills (you’ll interact with clients often)
- Ability to lift and carry parts (sometimes 20–50 lbs or more)
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of automotive parts
- Experience with delivery driving or warehouse work
- Familiarity with GPS/navigation apps
Responsibilities
- Deliver parts (often automotive or mechanical) to customers, shops, or job sites
- Pick up parts from suppliers or other locations
- Verify orders before delivery (correct items, quantities)
- Load and unload items safely
- Maintain delivery schedules and routes
- Collect payments or obtain delivery signatures when required
- Communicate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, or customers
- Keep records of deliveries and receipts
- Check delivery orders at the start of the shift
- Plan or follow assigned routes
- Inspect vehicle (fuel, tires, basic safety)
- Drive to multiple stops throughout the day
- Handle paperwork or digital logs
