About The Position

The Parts Driver has front line responsibility for customer interaction related to safe and efficient delivery of parts to our customers and pick-up from vendors.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record which meets Pearson Peterbilt Group's criteria.
• Commercial Driver Medical Certification is required.
• Ability to use computer and calculator.
• Will be trained on parts department's computer inventory system.
• Ability to drive and operate a fork-lift safely.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts.
• Professional personal appearance and dress.
• Mandatory smartphone capability: Possession of a personal smartphone capable of downloading, installing, and reliably operating company-issued mobile applications for safety inspections, coaching materials, driving performance monitoring, critical notifications, and other safety resources.
• Payroll and attendance processes operate through a mobile application; employees must clock in and out using this system.
• Ability to meet the smartphone requirement is a condition of employment.
• Willing to submit to a background check and post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Loading parts delivery vehicles
• Checking each load to make sure 100% complete and accurate order fulfillment
• Safety checks of delivery vehicles
• Obeying all traffic laws and driving defensively
• Professionally representing Pearson Peterbilt Group at customer locations in appearance, attitude and communication
• Accurate record keeping through signatures on delivery paperwork, returned goods paperwork (RGM's), etc.
• Collection of COD checks and credit card payments, with phone in verification
