About The Position

The Parts Department Associate will be responsible for maintaining inventory control and increasing the profit of the automotive dealership's parts department. This role involves training new counter staff, processing core and warranty returns to Nissan, and providing assistance to both retail and wholesale customers. The associate will utilize various computer systems to locate parts and ensure excellent customer service, particularly for local collision repair shops using the OEM CollisionLink program. Additionally, the role focuses on generating part sales through multiple channels and coordinating logistics for shipments.

Requirements

  • Start out at entry level position and eventually promote to parts counterman.
  • Proficiency in navigating different computer systems (internet, intranet).
  • Experience with OEM CollisionLink program.
  • Ability to use proprietary software catalog to identify and locate correct parts.
  • Experience coordinating logistics for shipments.
  • Regular communication with other Nissan dealerships and professionals.
  • Experience organizing parts by bin location via Reynolds and Reynolds computer software.
  • Experience utilizing Reynolds and Reynolds system to order, receive and stock parts, materials and supplies.
  • Ability to deliver parts to various locations.
  • Ability to stock parts to appropriate locations in the department.
  • Ability to assist technicians get the right parts for repairs.
  • Ability to manage inventory and warranty part returns to Nissan.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory control and increase profit of automotive dealership parts department.
  • Train all new counterman staff.
  • Return all core and warranty request parts back to Nissan.
  • Provide customers assistance to both retail and wholesale customers of Nissan parts.
  • Navigate through different computer systems (internet, intranet) to find customer parts.
  • Provide excellent customer service to local collision repair shops, including using the OEM CollisionLink program.
  • Generate part sales with companies and individuals through phone, e-mail, and Internet network system.
  • Use proprietary software catalog to identify and locate correct parts for repair, maintenance, and customization of Nissan automobiles.
  • Coordinate logistics for shipments by appropriate method.
  • Communicate regularly with other Nissan dealerships and professionals.
  • Organize parts by bin location via Reynolds and Reynolds computer software.
  • Utilize Reynolds and Reynolds system to order, receive and stock all parts, materials and supplies require for daily operations of dealership.
  • Deliver parts to various locations.
  • Stock parts to appropriate locations in the department.
  • Assist technicians get the right parts for repairs.
  • Inventory warranty part returns to Nissan.
