About The Position

This is a part-time position responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of automotive parts to customers and internal departments. The role plays a key part in ensuring that the right parts reach their destination promptly, contributing to the overall efficiency of the dealership's parts operations. The purpose of this position is to uphold a high standard of customer service, support internal departments, and contribute to the smooth functioning of the parts delivery process.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
Capable of safely lifting and handling automotive parts
Must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions, including winter
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with customers, vendors, and team members
Maintain a high level of professionalism, tact, and respect when engaging with all clients
Maintain a professional personal appearance.
Strong reading comprehension skills to follow all instructions and procedures.
Highly organized and efficient in managing daily tasks and deliveries

Nice To Haves

Available for occasional travel outside city limits (out-of-town travel is rare)
Willingness to learn and effectively utilize the parts department’s computer inventory system (training will be provided).

Responsibilities

Deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores and vendors
Pick up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, and vendors, to be coordinated with the Parts Manager and Parts Counter people before leaving
Complete a log at the time of delivery and request recipient’s signature
Unload truck each night
Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts
Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department
Wash outside of truck weekly.
Wax truck every two months
Be responsible for the basic upkeep of the truck; check oil with each fill-up and ensure that the truck is lubricated the first week of each month
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
