Stone Mountain Volkswagen is GROWING! We are looking to add another parts delivery driver to our team!

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a logistics role is preferred.
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles can be beneficial.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
• Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and prioritize tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in deliveries and paperwork.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly address and resolve unexpected challenges during deliveries.

Nice To Haves

• additional training in logistics or a related field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Timely Deliveries: Ensure that all parts are delivered to the correct locations on time, adhering to preset schedules.
• Route Planning: Utilize maps and GPS systems to plan efficient delivery routes to save time and fuel.
• Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload parts from the vehicle, ensuring that items are secured properly to prevent damage during transport.
• Communication: Maintain professional and friendly communication with customers during deliveries. Address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Problem-Solving: Handle delivery issues, such as wrong addresses or product discrepancies, efficiently and effectively.
• Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback regarding deliveries and relay important insights to management.
• Stock Monitoring: Assist in maintaining inventory levels by reporting low stock and discrepancies in parts.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery slips, invoices, and customer signatures.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on the delivery vehicle for any issues and ensure it is kept in good working condition.
• Team Communication: Work closely with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and management to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Training New Drivers: Occasionally assist in training new delivery drivers, sharing best practices for efficient and safe deliveries.
• Regulations Adherence: Follow all traffic laws and company policies related to delivery operations.
• Accident Reporting: Immediately report any accidents or incidents to management and follow company procedures for incident documentation.
