About The Position

The Parts Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors. This role also involves assisting the service department with customer car drop-off and pick-up, and helping with stocking and posting orders. The Parts Driver is expected to maintain a professional appearance and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
Coordinate with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk for pick-ups or deliveries.
Check with the body shop daily for immediate parts needs and deliver parts as required.
Verify that invoices match purchase orders for each pick-up.
Check payments received against invoices for each delivery.
Maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, obtaining recipient signatures.
Unload the truck each night and turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
Perform basic maintenance on the delivery truck, including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and ensuring inspections are done.
Advise the parts manager of any major truck repairs or maintenance needs.
Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
Assist the service department with managing the drop-off and pick-up of customer cars.
Help with stocking and posting orders upon arrival.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures and report any accidents immediately.
